What, you don't know Solanus Casey!!? He was a Capuchin priest who served most of his life in Detroit and is a slam dunk to be canonized a saint soon.
A new documentary film on the life of Father Solanus Casey, Detroit's leading candidate to be declared a Catholic saint by the Vatican, will debut in a special big-screen showing at the Capuchin center he once called home.
See the film at a big-screen showing at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Dec. 16 at the Solanus Casey Center at 1780 Mt. Elliott on Detroit's east side. That's the visitors center established to celebrate the ministries of Father Solanus, who was born Nov. 25, 1870, in Wisconsin and died in Detroit on July 31, 1957.

I went to the center on saturday, it's beautiful, soooo peaceful. I could not stay for the film but I found out that it will be shown on PBS on december 20th, at 7:00 or 10 pm, not sure of the time. Just wanted to let you know.
Thanks for the feedback Maria. Did you visit the museum? Did you check out the chapel?
Yes! I touched his door, left a note and prayed at his tomb, the chapel is incredible and there is the most bueatiful statue of Mary, really it was great.
I'll post the PBS showing info on the website. Thanks for the information.
